With 42 years of experience in the field of Cosmetics, Jayachand Upadrashta has a wealth of experience in Product Design and Development, setting up process facilities, and laboratories, recruitment and training of QC, R&D along with production personnel.
For 20 years Jayachand Upadrashta worked with Lakme Ltd. He held various positions in different fields like QC, R&D, Production, PPC, and Material Handling. Later, he held the position of Manager of Quality Control. Jayachand worked with Lissome Cosmetics Pvt.Ltd as Director of R&D and Technical Services for 15 years in. Lastly, he spent 7 Years with Ganesha Personal Care Products Pvt. Ltd as Director of R&D and Technical Services.
Aside from hands-on experience, Jayachand had a brief stint in academia as visiting faculty at Ruia College, Mumbai, he taught Process Engineering for the PG diploma course in Cosmetology. Besides holding a position at Ruia College, he was the External Examiner for Vaze College for the PG diploma course in Cosmetology. He worked on the BIS - PCD 19 cosmetics subcommittee for 3 years. Jayachand was also a member of the jury for Innovation Awards, and HPCI exhibitors for 3 years.
